You will find recent photos above of several events in the last week or so – I took just a few at the Community Alliance fundraiser since our Board member, Richard Stone, was being honored as the first Mike Rhodes Writer’s Award. Mike himself was the keynote speaker. (I’m sure there are many more that were taken by the Alliance photographers).

The other two events were the Pastors for Peace Caravan to Cuba with speaker John Waller, who is the coordinator of the Cuba Caravan. The film DARE TO DREAM was also shown, telling the story of the largest medical school in the world, the Latin American Medical School, in Havana, Cuba through the eyes of US students who received full scholarships with the commitment to return home and practice medicine in under-served communities in the US. There was music by Generaciones from Teatro de la Tierra! And a fantastic potluck.

And the last event was on Saturday, 30th June a Keep Families Together Rally. Hundreds of people were at Blackstone and Nees.
